Rudolph

The tubers are oval to roundoval shaped. The colour of the skin is red and colour of flesh is cream. It is suitable for home fries and for different cooking. It offers a good keeping quality.

Maturiy: Medium late.

Dry matter: 20%

Seed treatment:  Pre-sprouting is advisable.  This seedling should not be planted too early in the season and the soil should not be too cold.

Cultivation: This variety is moderately sensitive to the herbicide Sencor. This variety is slightly susceptible to common scab. The tuber resistance is quite good. Rudolph has a rather good resistance to mechanical damage and internal bruising (mechanical harvest is fine). Because of the rather long dormancy period, it can be stored for a long period.

Fertilisation: It will require less nitrogen than standard.  Since this variety is rather susceptible to black spot, the application of potassium should be a little higher than common.
